Initially conceived in Xavi Montojo’s creative mind, this stunning editorial beauty shoot bloomed into a reality in the early spring of 2021. Despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, we persevered and executed the vision with meticulous attention to detail, resulting in a stunning visual display. 

 

As the project art director, I had the honour of assisting in bringing the “Blossom” concept to life and supporting the team with all aspects of the photoshoot. From the delicate 3D printed headpiece to nature-inspired makeup for our model Eunice, we carefully considered every detail, resulting in a flawless execution.

 

“Blossom” features a rare flower, Eunice Olumide, a model, author and activist with Nigerian and Scottish roots. Through thoughtfully selected floral elements and lush, blossoming settings, the shoot embodies the essence of natural beauty in a captivating and inspiring way.

 

Every aspect of the shoot was thoughtfully curated to visually convey the elegance and grace of a flourishing flower, incorporating soft and delicate hues and textures that envelop Eunice.

 

“Blossom” appeared on the pages of Malvie, a unique French fashion & beauty magazine, and was a part of their Noir Special Edition that aims to ‘empower people of colour and amplify their voices.’ MALVIE Magazine donated all proceeds from this edition to black-led organisations tackling racial injustice.
